Front of House Manager Job in Studio City, CA

Position: Front of House Manager

Location: Studio City, California, United States

Essential Job Functions

• Ability to speak, see, hear, read, and write effectively.
• Physical mobility and manual dexterity required.
• Capable of bending, stooping, extensive walking, and standing up to 10+ hours daily.
• Ability to lift heavy items as needed.
• Comprehend and articulate complex ideas clearly.
• Availability to work at least 40 hours per week as needed.

Overall Responsibilities

• Manage team performance during shifts.
• Demonstrate proficiency in recipe execution, service standards, sanitation, and FOH/BOH management.
• Meet financial targets and operational goals.
• Ensure proper staffing and employee training.
• Uphold all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Assist with additional projects as assigned.

Specific Responsibilities

General

• Proficient in all front and back of house computer systems.
• Accurately perform and document voids and comps.
• Follow correct procedures during computer crashes and data recovery.

Financial

• Review daily sales figures to track performance.
• Control labor costs by assessing sales volume and adjusting staffing accordingly.
• Review daily labor reports to minimize overtime and training expenses.
• Assist with weekly food and beverage inventory and cost analysis.
• Manage invoice review, price checks, ordering, receiving, waste tracking, par levels, production checklists, and portion control.
• Investigate and address high controllable costs including retail items, office supplies, uniforms, small wares, china, and glassware.

Operations

• Ensure service standards are consistently met.
• Evaluate staff performance and guest relations skills.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and effectively.
• Maintain food quality standards.
