Fullstack Java Engineer in Asunción, Paraguay

We are seeking a highly experienced Fullstack Java Engineer based in Asunción, Paraguay. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot, proficient in both microservices and monolithic architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java 8/11/17 and Spring Boot framework.
• Design and implement scalable microservices and monolithic applications.
• Write unit tests using JUnit and manage source code with Git and GitHub.
• Collaborate effectively within Agile Scrum teams and participate in Scrum ceremonies.
• Apply object-oriented design principles, algorithms, data structures, system design, and design patterns to solve complex problems.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 7+ years of professional experience in Java backend development.
• Strong expertise with Java versions 8, 11, and 17.
• Proficient in Spring Framework and Spring Boot.
• Experience with JUnit, Git, GitHub, and Maven.
• Fundamental knowledge of cloud computing concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and communication abilities.
• Exceptional English language proficiency.
• Experience working in Scrum environments.

Desirable Skills:

• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Experience using Jira for project tracking and issue management.
