Functional Safety Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Functional Safety Engineer with strong expertise in ISO 26262, analog/power management ICs, and semiconductor functional safety.

Tasks

• Perform functional safety analysis of motor driver semiconductor ICs in accordance with ISO 26262.
• Translate safety goals into Technical Safety Requirements (TSR), Hardware Safety Requirements (HSR), and appropriate safety mechanisms.
• Establish safety assumptions, requirements, and safety concepts.
• Lead qualitative and quantitative safety analyses, including FMA, FMEA, DFA, and FMEDA.
• Own and maintain functional safety work products in accordance with the applicable TI process.
• Collaborate with Functional Safety Assessors to ensure work products are assessed and approved.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working with analog or power management ICs.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with ISO 26262-compliant products.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor functional safety concepts and methodologies.
• Experience with FMEA, FMEDA, DFA, and other safety analysis techniques.
• Ability to develop, document, and manage functional safety work products.
• Preferred: Texas Instruments (TI) experience.
