General Building Maintenance Worker

Tasks

• Perform general building maintenance and minor repairs.
• Conduct routine and preventive inspections of units, common areas, equipment, and building systems.
• Perform minor carpentry, plumbing, painting, drywall, and general repair work.
• Monitor heating, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems and report any issues.
• Respond to maintenance requests from tenants and management.
• Assist with unit turnovers and preparation between occupancies.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and service providers when required.
• Maintain maintenance records and follow up on outstanding work.
• Ensure common areas and building facilities remain safe and in good condition.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience in building maintenance, property maintenance, construction, or a related field is an asset.
• General knowledge of building systems and repairs.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Good communication skills.
• Valid driver’s licence is an asset.
