General Farmworker

Tasks

• Work includes tractor driving, field prep, water maint, fertilize, plant and harvest of crops.
• Field prep includes operate farm equipment (drive combines, tractors and rice carts to cut/haul rice to bins for drying, clean, shovel and level rice bins), manual shovel work and hoeing of weeds, spot spray and gen farm labor.
• Help repair and maintain bins, buildings, equip (and change oil, filters and gas), farm, fences, field, levee, ponds, property, roads and shop.
• Load and unload.
• May operate motorized crawfish boat and/or walk/pushboat.
• Crawfishing involves manually cutting up of fish bait, set traps, bait and check traps.
• Grade, may purge, wash, sack, and ice crawfish for shipment, make and repair traps as needed.
• Pickup/deliver crawfish as required.
• May deliver crop to coolers or market.

Requirements

• Visa required: H-2A
• Worker must be able to lift/carry 80 lbs.

Pay

• $15.81 per hour
