General Manager, El Salvador (VASP & EMI)OverviewThe General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and performance of the Company's regulated operations in El Salvador. The role provides strategic, operational, and governance oversight across all licensed activities, ensuring the business operates in a safe, compliant, and commercially sustainable manner while maintaining strong relationships with regulators, banking partners, and key stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the day-to-day management and oversight of the Company's VASP and EMI operations in El Salvador. Execute the local business strategy in alignment with Group objectives and regulatory requirements. Ensure all regulated activities are conducted in accordance with applicable laws, licence conditions, and internal policies. Act as the primary representative of the Company with local regulators, financial institutions, banking partners, and external stakeholders. Oversee operational, compliance, financial, and risk management activities within the jurisdiction. Drive operational excellence, customer experience, and business growth initiatives. Establish and maintain effective governance, reporting, and escalation frameworks. Ensure sufficient resources, controls, and processes are in place to support the Company's licensed activities. Build, lead, and develop the local management team and foster a strong culture of accountability and compliance. Provide regular reporting and updates to Group leadership and governance committees. RequirementsBachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Law, or a related discipline. 10+ years of experience within financial services, banking, payments, fintech, or digital asset industries. Prior experience in a senior management, country leadership, or executive role. Strong understanding of the El Salvador financial services, payments, and virtual asset regulatory landscape.Established relationships within the local financial services ecosystem, including regulators, financial institutions, and industry stakeholders, are highly desirable.Strong commercial, operational, and leadership capabilities. Must be a citizen of El Salvador and maintain primary residence in El Salvador, available to perform the role locally on a full-time basis.Fluency in Spanish and English. Profile Respected business leader with strong local market knowledge and credibility. Commercially minded while maintaining a strong appreciation for regulatory and risk considerations. Hands-on, pragmatic, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment. Strong decision-making and stakeholder management skills. Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and ownership.
