General Superintendent - Asphalt Paving in Greenfield, MA

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated General Superintendent with a strong background in asphalt paving and construction to lead our field operations in Greenfield, Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing large-scale asphalt projects, ensuring top quality, safety, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Project Oversight: Supervise and manage all field operations for asphalt paving projects, ensuring compliance with contract specifications, design plans, and quality standards. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop field staff including 5 Foremen and 2-3 Plant Foremen, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Scheduling and Planning: Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating with project managers to allocate resources and personnel effectively. Quality Control: Implement and enforce quality control measures, conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress and address issues. Safety Management: Promote a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies through meetings and training sessions. Resource Management: Manage equipment, materials, and resources to optimize productivity, coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors for timely deliveries. Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues or conflicts arising during project execution to maintain smooth operations. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $200,000 per year and is not eligible for remote work.
