HCM Integration Consultant/Architect

About the role

Design, develop, and deploy a secure, one-way integration between Workday (Source System) and UKG Pro (Target System).

Tasks

• Lead the architecture and technical design of Workday-to-UKG Pro integrations.
• Configure Workday security, APIs, connectors, and custom outbound data feeds.
• Develop UKG Pro REST/SOAP API integrations and construct custom payloads.
• Implement data mapping and transformation for employee lifecycle events, including new hires, job changes, and terminations.
• Build robust integration workflows with error handling, retry mechanisms, duplicate prevention, audit logging, and monitoring.
• Perform unit testing, end-to-end integration testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Manage production deployment, technical documentation, knowledge transfer, and post-go-live support.

Requirements

• Advanced hands-on experience with Workday outbound integrations and worker data extraction.
• Strong expertise in UKG Pro REST/SOAP APIs and inbound integrations.
• Experience with HCM integration architecture and full project lifecycle delivery.
• Strong knowledge of data mapping, field transformations, conditional logic, and business process automation.
• Experience implementing error handling, retry strategies, audit trails, reconciliation, and duplicate prevention.
• Local candidates preferred.
• GC / U.S. Citizens preferred; candidates requiring sponsorship are not preferred.
