Head of English Checkpoint

Lead, inspire and develop a high-performing English department, ensuring outstanding teaching and learning in line with the British curriculum (Checkpoint). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead, manage and develop the English Department (Checkpoint). • Plan, implement and monitor the English curriculum in line with British curriculum standards. • Develop and monitor work, lesson plans and assessments. • Support, coach and evaluate English teachers to enhance teaching and professional practice. • Monitor student progress and ensure target outcomes are achieved. • Promote a love of reading, writing and critical thinking across the school. • Liaise with the Senior Leadership Team to contribute to school improvement and strategic planning. REQUIREMENTS • Bachelor’s degree in English, Education or a related field. • Minimum 5 years teaching experience. • Strong knowledge of the British curriculum (Checkpoint). • Excellent leadership, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. • Passion for English education and student development.
