Head of Packaging

Are you a commercially minded packaging professional who thrives on data, detail and continuous improvement? We're looking for a Head of Packaging to lead our packaging function in Evesham.

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Head of Packaging to lead and develop the Packaging function, with full accountability for the procurement, technical management, compliance, stock control, usage and cost of all packaging and labels. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will drive cost reduction, stock optimisation and service improvements, and act as the business lead for packaging development and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage and develop the Packaging team, setting clear objectives and standards
- Manage the purchase of all packaging and labels to achieve optimum performance and cost
- Manage suppliers, supplier accreditation and service level agreements
- Use data, forecasting and innovation to reduce stock holdings and mitigate supply risk
- Negotiate payment terms, contracts and cost saving opportunities
- Own packaging compliance, including EPR, BRC, and customer obligations
- Keep specifications, declarations and compliance records audit-ready
- Own the end-to-end flow of packaging on site, from procurement to usage and disposal
- Drive automation, digitalisation and continuous improvement through SAP and KPI analysis
- Work closely with Operations, Commercial, Finance, Technical and Supply Chain teams

- Proven experience of leading a team and delivering measurable improvements
