About the role

Confidential is hiring qualified female candidates for the Yetena Gets (Health Page) Radio & Podcast Program. The role is per diem, with three openings for female MDs.

Responsibilities

  • Present accurate health programs, lead interviews, and direct live call-ins in Amharic and Afaan Oromoo (Oromiffa).
  • Translate clinical data into audience-friendly content and draft program scripts.
  • Advocate for national public health priorities, including MCH, immunization, NCDs, and emergency preparedness.
  • Review scripts for medical accuracy and provide insights to organizational leadership.
  • Combat health misinformation while upholding medical and journalistic ethics.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree; an MPH or postgraduate health qualification is a plus.
  • Fluency in both Amharic and Afaan Oromoo (Oromiffa).
  • Public speaking, research, and writing skills.
  • Experience: 0–2 years.
