Heavy Equipment Shop Superintendent

Tasks

• Oversee shop employees, create schedules and assign duties
• Enforce all health and safety policies in the shop and yard
• Create cost estimates for major repairs including labor, parts and explanations
• Maintain work records and enter job information into computer database
• Review completed work to ensure quality standards are met
• Provide employee training and assist with repairs as needed
• Coordinate equipment moves and oversee move trucks
• Investigate complaints on equipment operation, damage and neglect
• Keep the shop and yard clean and organized

Requirements

• Resume required
• Knowledge of heavy and light construction equipment repair including hydraulics and electrical
• Strong leadership and supervisory experience
• Solid problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task, manage time efficiently and communicate clearly
• Basic computer skills
• Awareness of health and safety standards

Schedule

• Full-time, 45-hour workweek with overtime as needed

Pay

• $40 - $45 per hour
