DCI Recruiters is seeking experienced cattle herdspersons for livestock operations in Alberta. Candidates with agricultural work experience in the United States, Canada, Mexico, or Colombia are encouraged to apply. Experience with a U.S. TN visa or another employment-based visa is also relevant.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor cattle health, behavior, feeding, and welfare; identify signs of illness, injury, or disease.
• Handle, sort, move, and load cattle.
• Assist with calving, breeding, and livestock management.
• Administer treatments and medications as directed.
• Operate tractors, feed equipment, and other agricultural machinery.
• Maintain cattle pens, fences, water systems, and farm facilities.
• Follow animal welfare, biosecurity, and farm safety procedures.
• Maintain livestock records and support daily farm operations.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of hands-on cattle or livestock farming experience.
• Conversational English is mandatory; candidates must communicate effectively in English.
• Practical livestock handling and farm equipment experience is an asset.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work in a rural agricultural setting.
