The RoleWe are looking for a confident and experienced English Teacher to join our team and work with students between 11 and 17 years old.This is a full-time, on-site position in Santa Ana, Manabí.We are looking for someone who is comfortable in the classroom, connects well with teenagers, and knows how to make English feel useful and engaging. We want our students to speak, participate, ask questions, present their ideas, make mistakes, learn from them, and become more confident using the language.The role includes planning and teaching English lessons, preparing activities and assessments, monitoring student progress, providing feedback, and maintaining a positive and well-managed classroom.Beyond daily lessons, our teachers are encouraged to bring their own ideas into the classroom. Projects, presentations, debates, group activities, cultural experiences, and creative approaches to learning are all welcome.You will also work closely with other teachers and school leadership, communicate with families when needed, and participate in school activities and academic projects throughout the year.
Who We're Looking ForOur ideal candidate:A Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Languages, Pedagogy, or a related field is preferred. Teaching certifications and additional educational training are also valued.Has a strong command of English and communicates clearly and confidently.Has previous experience working with students ages 11–17.Feels comfortable leading and managing a classroom.Knows how to connect with teenagers while maintaining clear expectations and boundaries.Can plan organized, engaging, and age-appropriate lessons.Enjoys finding creative ways to get students speaking and participating in English.Is responsible, dependable, proactive, and open to feedback.Enjoys collaborating with other educators and being part of a team.Is interested in continuing to learn and grow professionally.
