High School Mathematics Teacher in Chía, Bogotá

Teach secondary mathematics in English at a private, Calendar A school in Chía, near Bogotá, Colombia. This full-time, on-site position is suited to an experienced educator who can deliver engaging lessons and help students achieve their academic goals.

Compensation and schedule

• Salary: 3500000 COP per month
• Additional benefits: Health insurance, bonuses, and visa fees shared 50/50
• Workload: 40 hours per week, mostly mornings, including 25 classroom hours and 15 hours for planning and other duties

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, inquiry-based mathematics lessons in English.
• Support students in meeting academic goals and preparing for exams.
• Collaborate on interdisciplinary projects and cross-curricular activities.
• Provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate student records.
• Respect the school’s traditional values in your teaching approach.

Qualifications

• Native English speaker, or a foreign professional with C1-level English proficiency or higher.
• Bachelor’s degree required; a degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field is preferred. A TEFL certificate is a plus.
• At least one year of classroom teaching experience in a similar role.
• Already in Colombia or able to relocate by January 15.
• Bachelor’s degree must be apostilled for the work visa application.
