Histotechnologist

Tasks

• Receive specimens from surgical services
• Accession specimens into the Cerner system
• Collect tissue blocks from Pathologist Assistant staff
• Process and embed tissue specimens
• Cut tissue sections
• Perform slide staining procedures
• Support laboratory functions across Pathology, Cytology, and Immunohistochemistry (IHC)

Requirements

• ASCP HT or HLT certification required
• Completion of a formal Histology Technologist training program OR an associate degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences
• Knowledge of tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining
• Relevant histology/pathology laboratory experience
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• Day Shift | 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM
• 40 Hours
• 13-week contract assignment

Pay

• $39.00 per hour
