ESM is seeking a Hospitality Risk Consultant in Vancouver B.C. and surrounding areas.

Risk Consultant supports a safe, secure, and welcoming environment across a range of hospitality settings. This role combines security awareness, risk mitigation, and guest-focused service to help protect people, property, and brand reputation. The Risk Consultant operates with professionalism and discretion, using proactive observation and strong interpersonal skills to prevent and manage incidents while preserving the overall guest experience.

The “Risk Consultant” title reflects a service-oriented, preventative approach to safety and security. The role may include functions traditionally associated with security personnel, adapted to align with hospitality standards and client expectations.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Identify and mitigate risks before they escalate
- Maintain a visible, professional presence
- De-escalate conflicts and respond to incidents
- Support venue policies and guest experience
- Collaborate with staff and management
- Conduct walkthroughs and document incidents
- Liaise with emergency services or external partners when necessary
- Adapt to diverse environments and clientele

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Security Worker/Guard license (required)
- Class 5 driver license and vehicle (required)
- Security Consultant license (asset)
- Private Investigators license (asset)
- Industry designations (e.g. CPP or equivalent) (asset)
- Member in good standing of related associations (asset)
- Strong communication, de-escalation, and problem-solving skills
- Professional, proactive, and guest-focused mindset
