This interdenominational Christian ministry provides emergency relief assistance, clean water, medicines, educational materials, homes, support for orphans and the elder, skills training and micro-enterprise development assistance. Overall Responsibility:
The IT Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the operational aspects of ongoing projects, acting as a liaison between project management, project teams, and line management. In this role, you will review project proposals to address timelines, funding constraints, and procedures for project completion. You will also assist in evaluating and prioritizing projects to ensure alignment with investment strategies and business priorities.You will work closely with the technical team to design and develop various solutions and implement life-cycle methodologies for software systems. Additionally, there is a need to collaborate with internal clients to understand their goals and develop strategies for new product releases based on their needs and preferences.
Duties:
Project Planning and Execution:Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budget.Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.Manage project changes and assess their impact on the overall project.Team Management:Lead project teams, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure project goals are met.Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.Stakeholder Communication:Serve as the main point of contact for project stakeholders.Provide regular updates and reports on project status, risks, and issues.Risk Management:Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.Resolve issues that may arise during the project lifecycle.Quality Assurance:Ensure all project deliverables meet the organization’s quality standards.Conduct project reviews and assessments to ensure continuous improvement.Budget Management:Develop and manage project budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial constraints.Track project expenditures and forecast future financial needs.Documentation:Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and final deliverables.Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
Education and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. PMP certification is required.Minimum of 5-10 years of project management experience, with a focus on IT projects.Experience in the non-profit sector is a plus.Bilingual English/Spanish is a must.Proven experience in managing large-scale IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, application development and/or enterprise projects from inception to completion.Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Monday.com, Microsoft Project, Jira).
Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.Ability to use logic and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities for improvementStrong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with both internal and external partners effectivelyAble to work independently, but willing to be a team player in support of the team.
