Job description
Global IT Project Manager – Device Lifecycle & Data Analytics
Core Function:We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Global IT Project Manager – Device Lifecycle & Data Analytics to support a multi-year global initiative focused on modernizing and managing the lifecycle of barcode scanners and Zebra printers across manufacturing facilities worldwide.
Working closely with the Global Program Owner, this individual will lead the assessment of the current device fleet, analyze enterprise-wide asset data, develop a strategic global refresh roadmap, and oversee execution of a phased deployment plan designed to minimize operational disruption.The successful candidate will serve as the central coordinator across business stakeholders, IT teams, manufacturing leadership, and external partners to ensure successful planning, communication, and execution throughout the program.
This role requires a unique blend of project management expertise, data analytics, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Project ManagementLead planning and execution of a global device lifecycle modernization program.Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and resource plans.Coordinate multiple concurrent deployments across global manufacturing locations.Manage project risks, dependencies, issues, and mitigation plans.Track project health, deliverables, budgets, and executive reporting.Ensure project documentation is maintained throughout the lifecycle of the program.
Data Analysis & StrategyAssess and inventory the current global fleet of barcode scanners and Zebra printers.Collect, validate, and analyze large datasets to establish an accurate global device baseline.Identify lifecycle trends, hardware standardization opportunities, and replacement priorities.Translate data into actionable recommendations and strategic deployment plans.Develop reporting dashboards and executive summaries to support business decisions.
Stakeholder EngagementPartner with Global Business Partners, plant leadership, application owners, infrastructure teams, and operational stakeholders.Determine the least disruptive deployment strategy for each manufacturing site.Facilitate planning sessions, status meetings, and executive updates.Coordinate communication between technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership throughout the program.
Lifecycle ManagementDesign and implement a sustainable lifecycle management process for scanners and Zebra printers.Develop governance, refresh standards, inventory management processes, and long-term support strategies.Recommend best practices for future hardware planning and asset management.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).5+ years of experience leading enterprise IT infrastructure or technology deployment projects.Strong experience analyzing and managing large datasets to support business decision-making.Proven experience managing multiple complex workstreams simultaneously.Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Ability to influence stakeholders across multiple business units and global regions.Experience working with Microsoft Project, Excel (advanced), Power BI, Smartsheet, or similar project and reporting tools.
Preferred QualificationsExperience supporting manufacturing or production environments.Experience managing enterprise mobility devices, barcode scanners, Zebra printers, or related hardware.Knowledge of IT Asset Management (ITAM) and device lifecycle management best practices.Familiarity with ITIL processes and enterprise service management.PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent project management certification preferred.Experience working within large global organizations supporting multiple international locations.

Work Environment:This is primarily an office-based role involving regular sitting, computer use, and communication in person and via multi-media, along with occasional walking, standing, and travel between manufacturing sites, including use of stairs.
