Job description
Contractors State License Schools (CSLS) is seeking a passionate Instructor to teach the California Contractors State Law course at our Lawndale campus. With over 37 years of experience helping contractors get licensed and build successful businesses, CSLS offers you the opportunity to make a real difference in adult students' lives.
Position Details
- Location: Lawndale, California
- Schedule: Part-time evenings and weekends (typically 1 day per week; 1-2 weekends per month)
- Compensation: $35.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Teach California Contractors State Law to adult students preparing for the state licensing exam
- Provide clear, engaging instruction that supports student success and exam readiness
- Maintain cultural competence, integrity, and flexibility in teaching approach
Qualifications
- Minimum three years of experience in the construction industry
- Possession of a valid California Contractors License
- Excellent communication skills
- At least two years of prior teaching experience preferred
- Strong passion for teaching and helping others succeed
