Intermediate Electrical Designer

Requirements

• Someone who has worked for several years at a time at small to medium sized EPC's working on midstream and pipeline (pump, compressor station) projects would be the target candidate profile.
• They need people who have some tenure with smaller companies who can work independently.
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related discipline.
• A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering may be considered when accompanied by relevant hands-on electrical design experience.
• 3+ years of electrical design experience within an EPC, EPCM, or engineering consulting environment in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Demonstrated design experience in both electrical power and controls systems. Candidates may have greater depth in one area, but practical project experience in both is required.
• Proficiency with digital design, drawing review, and markup workflows using AutoCAD, Bluebeam, or comparable engineering software.
• Experience coordinating design work within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong attention to detail, technical problem-solving ability, and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to take ownership of assigned deliverables while recognizing when technical guidance or review is required. eveloping their design expertise.
• Clear and effective communicator who collaborates well across disciplines.

Schedule

• 6 month contracts to start - initially on a six month contract that is often extended to 12+ months.
• these are REMOTE contract opportunities
• If the candidates are based in Calgary, Kelowna, or Vancouver, they can work hybrid if preferred, schedule is flexible.

Location

• candidates can be based anywhere in Canada; however AB, BC, or SK would be priority
