Key Responsibilities
• Assist in coordinating and managing daily dispatch operations to ensure timely deliveries.• Monitor and track shipments, vehicles, and delivery schedules to ensure efficiency.• Respond to customer and internal emails regarding order lookups, delivery issues, and exceptions.• Complete worksheets and documentation within Port-Pro for order management and exception handling.• Communicate with drivers, customers, and internal teams to provide updates and resolve any issues that may arise.• Assist in maintaining and updating dispatch logs, schedules, and related documents.• Help manage the flow of information and documentation between departments, ensuring accuracy.• Support the senior dispatchers with problem-solving and troubleshooting minor logistical challenges.• Maintain a high level of customer service by addressing inquiries and ensuring delivery expectations are met.• Organize and maintain records, data, and files related to dispatch operations.• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by suggesting ways to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
• Technical diploma or associate degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field, or similar experience.• 6 months to 3 years of experience in logistics, dispatching, or customer service (internships are a plus).• Experience with Port-Pro or similar TMS systems.• Good communication, attention to detail, time management, problem-solving, team player, adaptable, tech-savvy, organized, and customer-focused.• Ability to perform basic tasks under direct supervision.• -Supports operational tasks and team activities effectively.
