Position Overview:
As part of the Site Technology Servicing team, we provide onsite IT technical support within our scope, which includes all users and onsite hardware within the locations described within the job description.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:As part of the Site Technology Servicing team, we provide onsite IT technical support within our scope, which includes all users and onsite hardware within the locations described within the job description.
The Band 2 – Network L2 Engineer will provide day-to-day L2 network support, monitor and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, switching, routing, VPN, and network connectivity issues while providing limited end-user support when required. Incidents, changes, and troubleshooting steps must be documented in the ticketing system.The candidate will also need to facilitate customer resolution for calls and engage their supervisors and managers to ensure operational consistency across all shifts within the IT Support Centre.Provide L2 network troubleshooting, break/fix support, fault diagnosis, root cause analysis, and escalation for complex network incidents.Support enterprise network infrastructure including switches, routers, wireless access points, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and connectivity services while coordinating with senior network engineers.Troubleshooting VPN.Application-support with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and SharePoint.Troubleshooting MS Windows 10.Troubleshooting MS Office 365 issues for end-users.Office IT Asset Management.Coordinate external vendors when engaged for support.Work independently and coordinate inhouse IT projects.Engineer should manage most of their time around activities involving BAUs - SLAs, CSAT, Response Time to Client, Average Resolution time, Open incident backlog and maintaining SOP’s and Runbooks for global team use
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) will be prefered.Minimum of 18 months years of IT experience.Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, VPN, Active Directory, ticketing systems, and network monitoring tools.Proven analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.Proven ability to multi-task, effectively determine priorities and meet SLA’s.Excellent communication relationship-building and internal customer service skills.Adaptable and flexible in a fast-changing industry and work environment.Willing to work off-hours and weekends when required for projects or emergency support.In addition, the Band 2 Technician will mentor and assist Band 1 technicians in their work and provide support to Band 3 Engineers in resolving tickets.
