Java Backend Technical Lead

About the role

Maxon IT Solutions is hiring an experienced Java Backend Technical Lead for a leading Financial Services client!

This is an Individual Contributor Technical Leadership role, not a Senior Developer or People Manager position.

Tasks

• Design and develop enterprise-grade backend applications.
• Build and enhance microservices-based applications.
• Understand existing architecture and independently implement solutions.
• Integrate AI capabilities using LLM APIs and enterprise AI platforms.
• Drive technical decisions and development deliverables.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Ensure application security, performance, and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.
• Take end-to-end ownership of technical deliverables.

Requirements

• 15+ years of overall IT experience.
• Java and Core Java.
• Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
• Microservices Architecture and Distributed Systems.
• REST API Development.
• System Design, Software Architecture & Design Patterns.
• AI Integration, LLM APIs & Enterprise AI Applications.
• Relational Databases and SQL.
• Application Security, Authentication & Authorization.
• Git, CI/CD, Automated Testing & Build Tools.
• Preferred: Financial Services / Banking / Payments / Capital Markets experience.
• Preferred: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Preferred: Docker and Kubernetes.
• Preferred: Kafka and Event-Driven Architecture.
• Preferred: RAG, Vector Databases, and AI-powered applications.
• Strong hands-on Java Backend Technical Leadership experience.
