Job description
About the role
GE Aerospace’s On Wing Support test facility in Pittsburgh, United States, tests GE / CFM commercial engines. The facility is a full-service provider with regulatory certification and OEM engineering support.
The On Wing Support Test Technician performs shipping and receiving, preparation and de-preparation, inspection, and testing of aircraft engines in accordance with Standard Work and applicable technical references.
Responsibilities
- Perform engine testing, maintenance, inspection, and troubleshooting procedures in accordance with Standard Work, technical references, Repair Station Manuals, and GE policies and procedures.
- Partner with EHS, quality, engineering, planning, and materials teams to support operational initiatives, strategic business objectives, and continuous improvement across the site.
- Understand and strictly follow technical references, including Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, Engine Shop Manuals, and Engine Illustrated Parts Catalogs.
- Act in accordance with GE’s FLIGHT DECK fundamentals.
