Junior Buyer

About the role

Flex Américas is looking for a Junior Buyer to join our Purchasing team in Altamira, Tamaulipas, Mexico.

Manufacturing

Tasks

• Process purchase requisitions, quotations, and purchase orders.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Support direct and indirect purchasing activities, including MRO supplies.
• Compare quotations and assist with supplier negotiations.
• Coordinate with Warehouse, Planning, and other departments to meet operational requirements.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and ERP information.
• Support purchasing KPIs, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, International Business, Logistics, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in Purchasing, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of purchasing processes, supplier management, and purchase order follow-up.
• Experience working with ERP systems and Excel.
• Intermediate English, both written and spoken.
• Strong organizational, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
