Junior Digital Designer – Cape Town, Western Cape

YAM Legacy (PTY) Ltd is hiring a full-time Junior Digital Designer for an office-based role in Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. This opportunity suits a recent graduate or designer with 1–2 years of experience who is skilled in digital and print design.

Salary and Benefits

Basic salary: R10 000.00–R15 000.00 per month, negotiable based on experience. The listed pay amount is R15 000 per month.

Work Schedule and Location

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00
• Location: Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa
• Work arrangement: Fully onsite; office-based with no flexibility

Role Overview

Support the Marketing team by creating innovative, high-quality digital and print content that strengthens the client’s brand, engages customers, and supports marketing, sales, retail, and product launch initiatives across channels.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or degree in Graphic Design, Digital Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, Marketing, or a related field.
• Recent graduate or 1–2 years of experience in a graphic design, digital design, or marketing environment.
• FMCG, retail, or food manufacturing experience is advantageous.

Technical Skills

• Advanced working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Experience with Canva, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office.
• Understanding of digital marketing, social media platforms, and content creation.
• Knowledge of preparing artwork for commercial print production.
• Basic Adobe Premiere Pro and/or After Effects knowledge is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Design creative artwork for digital, print, retail, and internal communication platforms.
• Create content for social media, websites, email campaigns, digital advertising, and e-commerce platforms.
• Develop marketing collateral, including brochures, catalogs, flyers, point-of-sale materials, and presentations.
• Support marketing, sales, retail, and product launch initiatives with high-quality visual content.
