Junior Exterior Lighting Engineer

About the role

Support the design and development of automotive exterior lighting systems, including headlamps, tail lamps, center light panels, and corner lamps.

Tasks

• Collaborate with Styling teams to conduct feasibility studies, evaluate A-class surfaces, and define craftsmanship targets.
• Design automotive lighting components and detailed parts using CATIA V6.
• Develop and complete lighting components while evaluating manufacturing feasibility.
• Work with Tier-1 suppliers to assess design cost, mass, joining methods, molding processes, and testing performance.

Requirements

• 0–3 years of experience in automotive interior or exterior lighting design.
• Good knowledge of automotive exterior lighting systems, including headlamps, tail lamps, center light panels, and corner lamps.
• Knowledge of CATIA V6 for automotive component design.
• Understanding of manufacturing feasibility and product development processes.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with A-class surfaces and automotive craftsmanship requirements (preferred).
• Understanding of molding, joining methods, component testing, and supplier collaboration (preferred).
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering.
