About the role
Northwest Employment Works Marathon is hiring a laundry facility production worker and delivery driver. The role includes facility duties and delivering garments, mats and linens to customers.
Responsibilities
- Sort soiled garments.
- Load and unload industrial-size washing machines and dryers.
- Fold, sort and label garments, and package clean garments for delivery.
- Safely operate machinery and perform day-to-day preventative maintenance.
- Keep the working environment clean and perform housekeeping duties as needed.
- Drive safely in all weather conditions on highways, jobsites and gravel roads within townships.
- Conduct vehicle circle checks, maintain the vehicle and keep accurate records, including mileage.
- Fuel and clean the vehicle, and follow all traffic laws and regulations.
- Communicate professionally with clients and use time management skills to meet delivery times.
- Deliver and distribute garments, mats and linens to customers, and load and unload bins and bags.
Requirements
- Be willing to learn different roles and operate various equipment.
- Sewing experience is not required but will be considered an asset; everyone will be trained to do repairs.
