Job SummaryLead Analyst / Manager will join the Lending Services (Corporate and commercial banking) team at Evalueserve, supporting bankers in critical lending/credit processes across end-to-end lending journeys. Responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive credit assessments of existing borrowers to ensure continued creditworthiness and compliance with bank’s internal risk policies. This role involves analyzing financial statements, industry trends, and borrower performance to recommend appropriate credit limits and risk ratings.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform annual credit reviews for assigned portfolio of borrowers, ensuring timely completion along with analysis of financial statement and key ratios to assess credit riskFinancials spreading (PL, BS and CF) on excel based model or lending platform along with key credit metrics calculationScrub and standardize financial statements, including adjustments for non-recurring items, normalization, and ensuring consistency across periodsInput and validate financial data with high accuracy and consistency while ensuring correct mapping of financial line items as per client-defined formatsPerform basic checks to identify missing or inconsistent data in financials, maintain quality control and adhere to defined turnaround times and SLAs while following standardized processes and client guidelines for financial spreadingUnderstanding of financial projections based on management guidance, budget and consensus estimatesReview industry outlook, market conditions, and borrower-specific developments impacting creditworthinessUpdate and validate risk ratings and recommend rating upgrades / downgradesPrepare detailed credit review reports with clear rationale for recommendationsCollaborate with relationship managers and risk teams to gather relevant information and resolve queriesEnsure compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standardsMonitor early warning signals and escalate potential risk concerns proactivelySupport portfolio risk analysis and contribute to process improvements for credit review frameworksMentoring / training juniors and monitoring their performance and developmentHandling Client calls and periodic communication
Core CompetenciesStrong understanding of financial statements, credit risk models, and industry analysis are mustExperience in credit review or underwriting role is desirable (Business and Financial Analysis, Credit Modeling, Operating, Leverage & Liquidity ratio analysis, Covenant analysis, PD/LGD analysis, Collateral analysis etc.)Experience on lending platforms or credit search platforms like Credit lens, nCino, Lexis/Nexis, Experian would be preferableAbility to analyze key points highlighted by rating agencies, reasons for rating changesUnderstanding credit metrics like DSC, FCCR, LTV, Interest cover, leverage etc.Excellent written and verbal communication in Spanish and English is a mustStrong analytical and report writing skills with eye for details and ability to identify and solve issues effectively on timeGood proficiency in Microsoft Office is requiredAbility to ensure that tasks within areas of responsibility are completed in a timely mannerStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesChallenging current thinking by implementing new ways of workingAbility to identify proactive ways to contribute to firms’ goals & missionAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-based multicultural environmentFlexibility to work as per client schedule and workload requirementsExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong team cultureCollaborative mindset with stakeholder management skills
Required QualificationsGraduate/Master’s degrees specializing in Accounting, Finance and Economics such as Commercial Engineers, Accountants, Master’s in finance, MBA (Finance), are preferred5-8 years of experience in credit research & analysis or credit risk management
