Lead Commercial Overhead Door Installer

About the role

Tasks

• Lead installation crews on commercial and industrial projects, including sectional doors, rolling steel doors, high-speed industrial doors, bi-fold doors, fire doors, and passage doors
• Install, wire, program, and troubleshoot commercial operators, controls, and safety systems
• Support industrial dock projects, including levelers, seals, and related equipment
• Train and mentor installers and apprentices, and hold the crew to our quality standards
• Lead by example on safety: hazard assessments, toolbox talks, fall protection, and lockout/tagout, in line with our COR program
• Complete job paperwork, timesheets, material lists, and photos accurately and on time
• Support our 24/7 emergency service as part of an on-call rotation

Requirements

• Roughly [5+] years of commercial or industrial overhead door installation experience, including [2+] years leading a crew
• Strong knowledge of sectional, rolling steel, and high-speed door systems and commercial operators
• Comfort working at heights and operating scissor lifts, boom lifts, and telehandlers or forklifts
• Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, and First Aid certifications (or willingness to get them)
• Valid Class 5 Alberta drivers licence with a clean abstract
• Strong communication skills and a professional presence on site
• Ability to work outdoors through Calgary winters
