Lead Cook/Cook

About the role

You’ll work with carefully designed, culturally inspired SimplyChops | Suya City recipes.

We train you on every dish, so recipe design experience is not required.

Tasks

• Cooking our signature recipes to standard
• Baking & frying pies and small chops
• Preparing suya wraps, shakes & drinks
• Keeping orders moving at rush hour
• Planning daily prep & restocking
• Food safety, labelling & temperature logs
• Maintaining a clean, organized and safe kitchen
• Supporting and training kitchen team members
• Ensuring the next shift is properly set up for success
• Communicating inventory or equipment issues to the Operations Manager

Requirements

• 1+ year kitchen or cooking experience (restaurant or commercial kitchen preferred)
• Recipe development experience can be a value add, but it is not necessary.
• Takes pride in every plate sent out
• Positive, professional attitude
• Calm problem-solver under pressure
• Team player who backs up the crew
• Food safety certified (or willing to obtain)
• Reliable and dependable
• A commitment to cleanliness, consistency and great food

Schedule

• Availability: Weekdays and Weekends (Monday to Sunday).
• Willing to work flexible shifts, including mornings, evenings and weekends
• Priority will be given to applicants with flexible morning and evening availability, particularly those who can work opening and closing shifts, including weekends.
