Lead Full Stack Mobile Engineer in San Antonio, TX

Jay is seeking a Lead Full Stack Mobile Engineer for a contract role in San Antonio, Texas. This non-remote position is suited to an experienced engineer who can own technical initiatives from design through production and lead the development of cross-platform mobile apps and backend services.

Responsibilities

• Own projects and deliverables from initial design through production release.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the engineering team.
• Analyze complex problems independently, research options, and make sound technical decisions.
• Develop and maintain Android and iOS apps using .NET MAUI.
• Build and maintain APIs and backend services with Node.js.
• Work with React-based components as needed.
• Collaborate with product and design teams.
• Debug issues and optimize mobile app performance.

Requirements

• Experience with .NET MAUI or Xamarin.
• Strong JavaScript or TypeScript skills, including React Native experience.
• Quick-service restaurant (QSR) experience is required.
• Backend development experience with Node.js.
• Understanding of REST APIs and mobile app architecture.
• Experience deploying apps to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Nice to Have

• Experience with state management tools such as Redux.
• Experience with mobile app CI/CD.
• Familiarity with performance optimization and debugging tools.
