Job description
Jalal is hiring a full-time Legal Advisor in Energy and Mining in Jijel, Algeria. This on-site role supports the legal needs of energy and mining operations, helping projects navigate complex legal frameworks, meet regulatory obligations, and manage risk.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and analyze legal matters affecting the energy and mining sectors.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts for energy and mining projects.
- Advise on compliance with local, national, and international regulations.
- Support dispute resolution and litigation strategy when needed.
- Work with project managers and cross-functional teams to integrate legal requirements into operational plans.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments in the energy and mining industries.
- Prepare legal documents and reports for management and internal stakeholders.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law.
- At least five years of experience in legal advisory work; energy or mining experience is preferred.
- Strong legal research, analysis, and writing skills.
- Proficiency with legal software and contract management tools.
- Relevant industry-standard certifications are an advantage.
Team and Reporting
You will work with a collaborative team of legal professionals and report to the Head of Legal Affairs. Regular coordination with other departments supports open communication and cross-functional collaboration.
