We are recruiting for a LICENSED LAND SURVEYOR MANAGER based in Lexington, Kentucky. This role plans, organizes, and directs the work of surveyors and technicians engaged in surveying the earth’s surface to determine precise locations and measurements of points, elevations, lines, areas, and contours for construction, mapmaking, utility locations, subsurface utility engineering (SUE), land division, titles, and other purposes.

The Land Surveyor Manager promotes safe work practices among all survey staff, evaluates team progress and results, and recommends major changes to improve outcomes. This position represents the company in meetings and conferences with clients and potential clients.

Note: This position is not eligible for employer-based sponsorship except for TN visa classification.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Assume supervisory responsibility and act as staff advisor and consultant for surveying functions and projects.
• Plan, organize, and direct surveying activities for construction, mapping, and utility location projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and promote safe work practices among survey staff.
• Evaluate staff performance and project progress, recommending changes to achieve overall results.
• Represent the company in client meetings, conferences, and professional gatherings.
• Manage subsurface utility engineering (SUE) and land division surveys.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of survey data and results.

Qualifications

• Licensed Land Surveyor with proven management experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and teams effectively.
• Proactive problem-solving and change management capabilities.
• Knowledge of surveying equipment, techniques, and software.
