Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for a contract position in New Mexico. This role plays a vital part in delivering quality patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment. As a part of our nursing team, you will be instrumental in providing support and care to patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout their treatment journey. Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with daily living activities. Collaborate with registered nurses and healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards. Educate patients and their families on health management and wellness strategies. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and resolve care issues. Assist in the coordination of healthcare services and resources for patients. Adhere to safety and infection control policies to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Required and Preferred Qualifications Current and valid LPN or LVN license in the state of New Mexico. Strong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing practices and procedures. Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient care. CPR and First Aid certifications preferred. Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) software. Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an LPN/LVN is preferred.
