Job description
Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Registered Nurses (RNs) are sought in Wake County, Raleigh, North Carolina to provide specialized nursing care for individual students during the school day.
Job Overview
We are looking for LPNs or RNs licensed by the NC Board of Nursing, with current CPR and BLS certification. Candidates must have experience delivering nursing care tailored to meet the medical and safety needs of students in educational settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement individualized medical plans of care.
- Follow physician-ordered treatment plans and clinical interventions.
- Monitor and assess students’ mental and physical health, including vital signs such as blood pressure and temperature.
- Provide nursing care during transport, classroom instruction, physical education, recess, field trips, and school events.
- Administer medications, change dressings, and manage medical equipment and technology.
- Assist with mobility, seating, self-care, and classroom routines as needed.
Qualifications
- Active LPN or RN license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- Current CPR and BLS certification.
- Experience in pediatric nursing or school-based nursing preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
