Livestock Worker

Tasks

• Tending livestock; handling, feeding, examining, administering medications, branding/tagging and herding cattle.
• Operating large farm equipment such as a manure spreader, baler, front end loader, tractor, skid steer loader, farm truck, and forklift.
• Loading and unloading grain, receiving grain at elevator, preparing scale tickets, monitoring to ensure compliance with moisture and grade standards, and transferring grain to proper storage location.
• Performing mechanical repairs, maintenance, using hand tools, digging holes as needed, and performing upkeep and maintenance of pasture boarders.
• Daily duties may vary depending on livestock, weather, and field conditions.
