Livestock Worker

Tasks

• Examine animals to detect illness, injury, or disease, and to check physical characteristics, such as rate of weight gain.
• Clean stalls, pens, and equipment, using disinfectant solutions, brushes, shovels, water hoses, or pumps.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair equipment, machinery, buildings, pens, yards, and fences.
• Mix feed, additives, and medicines in prescribed portions.
• Drive trucks, tractors, and other equipment to distribute feed to animals.
• Provide medical treatment, such as administering medications and vaccinations, or arrange for veterinarians to provide more extensive treatment & other related Livestock Worker activities as per SOC/OES 45-2093.

Requirements

• Visa required: H-2A

Schedule

• From Dec 15, 2026 to Feb 14, 2027
• Possible weekend/holiday work.

Pay

• $12.27 per hour
• The employer may choose to pay experienced workers, regardless of origin, more than the published minimum wage rate.
