Locksmith (Independent Contractor)

We are seeking a skilled Locksmith to join our dynamic team at Budget Locksmith of New Mexico 9910 Indian School Rd NE Suite 206, Albuquerque, NM 87112. Operating as an independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to manage your own schedule while delivering exceptional locksmith services to our valued clients. This position involves working in both residential and commercial environments, making a significant impact by ensuring the safety and security of properties. Key Responsibilities Provide locksmith services, including key cutting, lock installation, and lock repair for residential and commercial clients. Diagnose and resolve lock and key issues efficiently and effectively, ensuring customer satisfaction. Maintain an accurate inventory of locksmith tools and supplies, making timely orders as needed. Respond promptly to emergency calls for lockouts and urgent requests, demonstrating excellent customer service. Engage with clients to assess their needs and provide tailored security solutions that enhance safety. Document services performed and maintain clear communication records with customers. Stay updated on the latest locksmithing technologies and industry trends for continuous improvement. Required and preferred qualifications High School Diploma or Equivalent. Proven experience in locksmithing and mechanical skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients. Valid locksmithing certification preferred. Experience with locksmithing software and tools is a plus. Minimum of 2 years experience in a locksmith role preferred. As an independent contractor, you will be part of a flexible and supportive team structure that values collaboration and communication. You will frequently interact with other contractors and administrative staff to ensure seamless service delivery to our clients. Reporting relationships will include direct interaction with the operations manager and the potential for mentoring less experienced locksmiths. Cross-functional collaboration is essential as you might work alongside security consultants and technical teams to implement advanced locking mechanisms and technologies in client environments.
