Logistics Coordinator - Ocean Freight

About the role

Avattech Solutions Center is seeking a Logistics Coordinator - Ocean Freight. The role requires hands-on experience booking full-container-load shipments from overseas factories.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in ocean freight, international logistics, freight forwarding, import-export coordination, or a closely related function.
• Experience sourcing freight forwarders and negotiating ocean freight rates and commercial terms.
• Strong working knowledge of commercial invoices and packing lists, bills of lading, shipping instructions, certificates of origin, and other common import-export documents.
• Working knowledge of container types, shipping lanes, Incoterms, cutoff dates, transit times, free time, demurrage, detention, and common ocean-freight surcharges.
• Strong attention to detail when checking quantities, weights, product descriptions, parties, container numbers, seal numbers, ports, and dates.
• Strong Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, rate comparisons, shipment trackers, and reconciliation of large data sets.
• Strong spoken and written English for communication with factories, forwarders, customers, brokers, and US-based management.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines without losing track of open actions.
• Sound judgment when handling confidential commercial information, freight rates, customer information, and shipping documents.
• Able to work onsite in Alabang, Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
