Job description
About the role
The Town of Marcellus Highway Department is looking for a dependable, hardworking person to join the team as a Machine Equipment Operator (MEO). This is a full-time position with a starting rate of $28.80 and overtime opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Operate highway and construction equipment.
- Perform snowplowing and winter maintenance, road and drainage work, and roadside maintenance.
- Care for equipment and perform other highway department duties.
Requirements
- Have a valid New York State CDL.
- Have experience operating heavy equipment.
- Be mechanically inclined and safety-minded.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Be willing to work weekends, overtime, and emergency call-ins when needed.
