Mainframe Architect

Tasks

• Manage and oversee mainframe outsourcing providers and third-party vendors.
• Lead mainframe infrastructure operations, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Oversee capacity planning, storage administration, software upgrades, and system releases.
• Manage mainframe incidents, problem resolution, and change management.
• Review and approve vendor activities, system changes, and software implementations.
• Develop mainframe utilities, automation processes, and operational improvements.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to application development and infrastructure teams.
• Ensure compliance with ITIL practices, SLAs, and vendor commitments.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on Mainframe Systems Programming experience.
• Strong expertise in mainframe operating systems, system software, and utilities.
• Experience managing mainframe outsourcing agreements and Managed Service Providers.
• Strong vendor management experience, including SOWs, SLAs, and service delivery.
• Excellent knowledge of ITIL, Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
• Experience establishing mainframe best practices, governance, and operational procedures.
• Strong technical leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or Information Systems required; Master's preferred.

Pay

• $65/hr. C2C Max
