Job description
Tasks
- Install, upgrade, and maintain CICS Transaction Server (CICS TS) environments.
- Apply PTFs and patches, manage version upgrades, and perform regression testing.
- Configure and maintain Production, Test, and Disaster Recovery (DR) CICS regions.
- Maintain startup parameters and System Initialization Tables (DFHSIT).
- Monitor transaction performance and system health using OMEGAMON, MainView, or TMON.
- Analyze transaction response times, CPU utilization, and storage usage.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and implement tuning solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex CICS issues and help ensure system stability and availability.
Requirements
- Strong experience in Mainframe CICS System Administration.
- Hands-on experience with CICS Transaction Server (CICS TS).
- Knowledge of PTF maintenance, upgrades, and regression validation.
- Experience with CICS region configuration and DFHSIT parameters.
- Expertise in performance monitoring and tuning tools such as OMEGAMON, MainView, or TMON.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
