About the role
Billabong Sanctuary is seeking a full-time maintenance person for a six-month contract. Work alongside the current maintenance staff to help ensure the park is safe, well-presented, and running smoothly for its animals and visitors.
The role involves general maintenance across the 30-acre property.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the park and paths.
- Update and repair enclosures.
- Complete carpentry, plumbing, and light building tasks.
- Maintain tools and equipment.
- Maintain the grounds and irrigation.
- Carry out general maintenance tasks across the property.
Requirements
- Basic trade skills in carpentry, plumbing, general building, and tool use.
- An eye for detail.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in an outdoor North Queensland environment.
- A strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
