Job description
About the role
The Manager, SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting is a high-visibility role within the Finance Department at Dine Brands Global. Reporting to the Executive Director, SEC Reporting & Technical Accounting, this role leads external reporting and technical accounting and collaborates with legal, tax, treasury, FP&A, and investor relations.
Dine Brands Global supports and operates Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill + Bar®, IHOP®, and Fuzzy’s Taco Shop® restaurants through its subsidiaries and franchisees. As of December 28, 2025, these brands consisted of over 3,500 restaurants across 20 international markets.
Responsibilities
- Lead timely and accurate preparation, review, and filing of Forms 10-K and 10-Q in compliance with SEC regulations and US GAAP.
- Lead drafting of financial statement disclosures, footnotes, and Management’s Discussion and Analysis (MD&A), with comprehensive supporting documentation.
- Research, evaluate, and document technical accounting positions for complex, non-routine transactions, including share-based compensation, leases, business combinations, and debt refinancing.
- Lead preparation, accuracy, and execution of public consolidated financial statement filings, earnings release financial data, subsidiary entity financial statements, and critical internal financial reports.
- Support high-impact ad hoc finance initiatives and monitor new requirements from the FASB.
