Summary
The Manager – Show Site Operations leads a team of on site project managers and coordinators. The Manager – Show Site Operations will be accountable for the optimal planning, resource allocation, and scheduling for all assigned Freeman events and projects. The role will help develop and manage the project management team to maximize efficiency and ensure operational excellence.
This position will support our Audio Visual and Event Technology team. The position follows an in-person schedule working full-time in-office and/or show-site based out of Las Vegas, NV.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Proactively seeks out information on production requirements for all assigned events to increase advance planning and proper resource allocationDelegates responsibilities and supervises the work of direct reports, providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performanceProvides training, development, resources, and support for all direct reportsPartners with cross-divisional teams to support recruiting, training, and staffing of necessary positionsCreates a collaborative and results driven atmosphere within the team that drives optimum performanceReviews operational procedures and makes recommendations for improvements to enhance operational efficienciesEnsures best practices including safety requirements are followed in the final project plans for all projects in assigned area or regionPerforms other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred, High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience requiredWorking knowledge of project management principlesMinimum 3 years of show operations experienceShow site leadership role experience preferredMinimum two years of supervisory experienceWorking Knowledge of Audio, Video, Lighitng, Rigging and Scenic technical requirementsDemonstrate strong leadership skills and strategic thinking with the ability to flourish in a matrix organizationAbility to manage difficult or emotional customer situations successfully and timely Understanding of business implications of decisions; working knowledge of competitionAbility to write routine reports and correspondence Ability to speak effectively to multiple audiences internally and externally; proven ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with customers at all levelsAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization existsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Ability to make decisions based on computer-generated reportsAbility to generate electronic reports Must be an innovative problem solver with the ability to deal quickly and effectively with issues Demonstrated experience in working with cross-functional teams and large programs Strong analytical, organizational, collaborative, and critical thinking skills required Meticulous attention to detail as well as superior organizational and creative thinking skills Must have experience juggling multiple clients with competing demands; proven ability to adapt while managing multiple competing prioritiesAbility to deliver a technical message to a non-technical audienceExcellent verbal and written communication, negotiation and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interact with numerous business teams Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from employees, customers, or regulatory agencies Working knowledge of Workfront preferred
