Master Carpenter

Tasks

• Perform structural framing, formwork, and general carpentry.
• Frame walls, floors, roofs, decks, stairs, and interior partitions.
• Install doors, trim, baseboards, crown moulding, drywall, and other finishing components.
• Execute high-quality finish carpentry with precision and attention to detail.
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Lead and mentor junior carpenters and apprentices.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and site organization.
• Collaborate with supervisors, other trades, and project team members.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of relevant residential carpentry experience.
• Strong knowledge of structural and finish carpentry.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Proficiency in English.
• Own tools and reliable transportation.
• Ability to commute to project sites throughout Greater Montréal.
• Preferred: Proficiency in French.
• Preferred: Experience with high-end renovations and century-old homes.
• Preferred: Flooring and tile installation experience.
• Preferred: Flexibility to travel occasionally to projects outside the Greater Montreal area.

• $40–$50/hour, based on experience
