Material Expeditor

About the role

Help ensure on-time delivery of materials and services supporting projects + O&M operations.

Tasks

• Own expediting for assigned suppliers/commodities; secure promise dates + shipment plans
• Identify risks early and drive recovery: pull-ins, split shipments, alternate sources, premium freight approvals
• Coordinate with supplier production/planning/shipping to align readiness with site need dates
• Work with carriers/brokers/warehouses for routing, documents, and delivery appointments
• Help resolve issues like quality holds, partial shipments, customs/document errors
• Support claims/chargebacks tied to late delivery or premium freight (when applicable)
• Partner with Buyers/Planners/Site Materials/PMs; keep dates aligned in ERP/MRP
• Support outages/turnarounds with daily updates and hotlist management
• Maintain PO status; produce weekly OTD and past-due reporting
• Recommend improvements: lead time accuracy, confirmation cadence, supplier scorecard inputs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in supply chain/business/logistics OR Associate degree + 3 years relevant experience OR 4 years expediting/materials/logistics experience
• ERP/MRP knowledge
• Shipping docs: BOL / ASN + understanding of Incoterms
• Strong follow-through + stakeholder communication
• Basic data analysis (Excel and/or BI)

Schedule

• 100% onsite
• W2 Contract (12 months, possibility of conversion)
