Mechanic Assembler

About the role

Confidential is seeking a mechanic assembler to safely assemble equipment by following detailed instructions from supervisors and Group Leaders. Assemblies vary in size and product and require mechanical, electrical, and manual tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics into JLG/Jerr products using hydraulic and/or equipment and/or connections.
• Install JLG/Jerr and product accessories, including decals, hand flags, canards, and lights.
• Operate an overhead crane to maneuver parts safely into place.
• Use hand and pneumatic tools, including wrenches, hammers, and torque guns, and common measuring tools accurately.
• Use tape measures, drill and/or tap hole fixtures, hoses, and small parts.
• Determine options needed for units based on schematics, blueprints, and standard work instructions.
• Lift and stack components, subassemblies, and parts up to 35 lbs, and lift and move parts up to 60 lbs.
• Train and work in various assembly areas in response to production demands.
• Follow verbal and written work instructions, attend required training, and maintain a safe work environment.
• Work in accordance with company standards and perform other assigned duties and responsibilities.

Requirements

• Preferred qualification: 6+ months of experience in a manufacturing or general labor industry.
• On-the-job training.
• Physical demands include frequent standing, walking, reaching, hearing, talking, sitting, lifting and carrying up to 35 lbs, and pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs and up to 30 lbs sustained.
• Non-physical demands include organizational, analytical, reasoning, communication, interpretation, math, mental calculation, reading, and understanding.
• Environmental demands include frequent changes, tedium and exacting work, dust, temperature extremes, loud noises, and heavy equipment and trucks operating in the immediate area.
• Work schedule: routine shift.
